Hollywood megastar Dwayne Johnson and comedy stalwart Jack Black are serving unexpected romantic chemistry in the new trailer for Jumanji: Open World, setting the stage for their final big-screen outing together. The newly dropped preview showcases the video game's wild elements invading human reality, highlighted by an uproarious scene where Jack Black’s avatar checks out Dwayne Johnson’s imposing character, exclaiming, “What a woman.” Playing along instantly, Johnson coyly shoots back, “Oh, stop.” The hilarious body-swapping finale promises high-octane action and non-stop laughs as it hits theatres worldwide this Christmas.
Inside The New Trailer
The trailer opens in sheer panic and confusion as the characters realize that the digital hazards of Jumanji are breaking out of the console, turning the outside world into a dangerous, untamed game zone. The tension escalates rapidly when it is revealed that family members have been inadvertently pulled inside, leaving the gang with a critical 10-minute countdown to organize a rescue led by Spencer before the damage becomes irreversible. Amid the high-stakes chaos, the squad navigates dense jungle terrains filled with signature comedy, from mishandling heavy weapons like a bazooka to facing a dire warning that this version has no resets and no second chances if they fail.

Flirty Avatar Mix-Up
The promo also shines a spotlight on an unusual character crossover as fresh players get sucked into the iconic avatars. In a surprising twist, Dwayne Johnson’s muscular video game avatar is inhabited by the mother of Alex Wolff’s character, while Jack Black’s avatar is taken over by a male restaurant worker. This fresh body-swap dynamic leads to the hilarious romantic tension between the two leads, injecting a fresh layer of comedy into their high-stakes survival mission.
The Game Breaks Free
Moving away from the digital jungle, the upcoming film centers on the video game’s chaotic elements breaking free from their console and invading human reality. Director Jake Kasdan brings back the beloved ensemble cast to navigate this real-world danger. Returning actors Alex Wolff, Morgan Turner, Ser’Darius Blain, and Madison Iseman are joined by franchise veterans Kevin Hart, Karen Gillan, Nick Jonas, and Danny DeVito, uniting to finish the game once and for all.
